1Boiled Corn
There are many types of millets, and corn is of just one such type. Boiled corn can be prepared within minutes. The outer layer of the corn is removed, and the corn is then placed inside a pan filled with water and covered with a lid. Once it is cooked, it can be served on a stick or in a small bowl with some masala to give an extra flavor to the dish.

2Corn Dosa
Corn is rich in dietary fiber, niacin, phosphorous, manganese and vitamin B-6. Hence, corn flour is also sold in various markets. It is added with water and mixed in a bowl to make a soft batter for dosa.

3Corn Upma
Some people would run away hearing the name itself. But making upma from a different flour will obviously tempt you to taste it at least once. The dish is a mixture of softened corn, roasted semolina, oil, ginger, green chillies and mustard.

4Pearl Millet Idly
Pearl Millets have marvelous advantages and health benefits for the human body. The dish is made with pearl millet, idly rice and ural dhal being soaked and grinded into a batter. This batter is then prepared into idly with the same procedure as that of a normal idly and served.

5Pearl Millet Dosa
The mix is prepared in a similar way as making a pearl millet idly. Then, the required amount of salt and water is added to the mix and further prepared into a crispy dosa which is very nutritious to health. The dosa can be served with some delicious chutney to add a nice flavor to it.

6Ragi Idiyappam
This is one of the best and most nutritious dish, which can be made almost effortlessly. For making the dish, ragi flour along with rice flour is added and mixed into a batter and then further cooked as a normal idly.

7Ragi Upma
This dish is not the ‘most’ tempting food for everyone. However, there are some who would give it a try and might also just fall in love with it. For preparing this dish, roast ragi and rava in a pan. Add oil, mustard seed, chopped onions, carrots, curry leaves and required amount of salt and water to the mix while stirring it continuously.

8Ragi Adai
Adai is usually tastier after adding some chopped onions, curry leaves, and a small amount of chilli powder to the dish. Add ragi flour, required amount of salt, asafetida powder, chopped onions, ginger, curry leaves, green chilli and prepare a dough. Place this dough on tawa and cook.

9Ragi Idly
Idly is good for health generally because it is a steamed food, but preparing ragi idly is even healthier. Grind ragi, rice flour and urad dhal. Then add the required amount of salt and water to the mix and make idly in steamer cooker. The dish is best served with a spicy chutney.

10Ragi Dosa
The mix is prepared similar to that of ragi idly. Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chillies into the mix and prepare it like normal dosa.

11Ragi Puttu
Ragi Puttu is also a tasty dish which can be made with all kinds of flour. Just add ragi flour in a bowl with water. Slowly, mix with your hands to prepare a dough. Then stuff coconut drape on the bottom followed by puttu mixture and sliced bananas one side of the puttu.

12Barnyard Millet Upma
It would have been so much better if we had taken these kinds of food earlier, in teenage days. Rather suffering later and taking it as a medicinal food in old age. For preparing the dish, add barnyard millet, chopped onion, curry leaves, green chillies, required amount of salt and water to make dough. Then fry it to make upma.

13Barnyard Millet Pongal
Pongal is a type of food, which is nutritive to our body, majorly because in this dish, ghee and pepper is added. Add ghee, pepper, jeera, chopped ginger, green chilli, moong dhal,2 cups of water and mix well along with all the stuff added and allowed to boil for at least 15-20 minutes.

14Foxtail Millet Idly
Idly rice, urad dhal, foxtail millet are soaked in water and are grinded a batter for idly mix. It is then placed in the idly making vessel and served with a delicious chutney to everyone so that they could have a taste of this nutritional dish.

15Foxtail Millet Dosa
The mix which is to be prepared for making foxtail millet dosa is similar to that of mix that is prepared for making foxtail idly. The required amount of salt and water is added to the dough of dosa, prepared and served.

16Foxtail Millet Pongal
Roast moong dal until it turns golden brown. Add foxtail millet, mustard seed, chopped curry leaves and ginger into the cooker. Add some water and pressure cook for 3 – 4 whistles in medium flame.

17Foxtail Upma
Add oil or ghee into the pan. Add chopped onions, curry leaves, mustard seed and roasted foxtail in the mix. This mix is then fried in oil or ghee till all the ingredients are stirred well.

18Kodo Millet Idly
Idly rice, urad dhal and kodo millet are soaked in water and are grinded to for a dough for the idly mix. This is then put into an idly making vessel and cooked. The dish can be served with any chutney.

19Kodo Millet Dosa
The mix is prepared similar to that, prepared for Kodo millet idly. Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chillies into a mix and prepare like a dosa.

20Kodo Millet Pongal
Roast moong dhal and Kodo millet. Add some oil or ghee in a pan. Add roasted moong dhal, Kodo millet, chopped ginger and curry leaves and fry it in oil or ghee until everything is fried properly.
